His primary focus lies in advancing our understanding from mere correlations between microbiomes and health to establishing causative relationships in a practical manner. He loves helping people and projects grow while building sustainable solutions for a better tomorrow.
Lea Huebertz Birch Hansen, Ph.D.
Lea Hübertz Birch Hansen has a strong background in Animal Science, earning her master’s degree in 2017 and completing her PhD in 2021. Her doctoral research, conducted in collaboration between Chr. Hansen and Aarhus University, focused on early inoculation of probiotics in piglets. Lea has been with Chr. Hansen — now Novonesis — for eight years, working in both Commercial Development and Innovation. Today, she serves as the Global Technical Product Manager for the swine portfolio, where she oversees trial execution, technical material development, and training for sales teams and business partners. She also works closely with Applied R&D to drive the development of new products, services, and data-driven solutions.
